If you read this blog, then you know how much I love the Smashing Pumpkins and Billy Corgan. Chicago is definitely Pumpkinland since it's his hometown. He recently opened up a teahouse in Highland Park, which is about an hour north of here. I wasn't able to go to the opening where he played an acoustic set, but we were able to go and visit it last month. Zuzu's is very cool, and they have open mic night once a week. Too bad Billy wasn't there when we went, but maybe next time. :) There was an article about him in last week's paper which talked more about the teahouse and his other endeavors (owning a wrestling company and his latest SP album).

We also went to an all vegan and gluten free place that was also all raw food. It was delicious. I just wish HIghland Park was closer!
