Alexis had a week of dance camp last week and so Micah got to hang with Mom. I know he missed Alexis while she was gone but they have a love/hate relationship, so having some time apart is always nice. They love to play together but then they fight all day. I am not kidding! He helped me make some vanilla no-bake cookies and they turned out pretty good.
This week of dance camp had a lot more girls participating this time, so it was crazy, especially the last day when all the parents get to come and watch them perform little pieces of all the dances they learned. It was a mixture of some company girls and then lot of the girls have never taken dance before. Can you tell Alexis is the perfectionist? :)
I think she is the only one that knows the dance. haha I love the picture of her next to the little girl in pink.
The whole group. She loved her classes which included hip hop, ballet, tumbling, breakdancing, jazz and lyrical.
I did this for fun so you can see me (1986) vs Alexis all decked out in our tap outfits. She looks like a little grown-up and I just look like an awkward kid. haha Hair and makeup wasn't a thing back then. I love that she takes most the classes I did when I was growing up.
Here I am after the gym hanging out. I was able to get a 30 day trial membership at a gym and so I went as much as I could and the kids could play in the kid club and it worked out great. They don't have 24 Hour Fitness in Illinois! We have such a great membership with them that we can't cancel it but we obviously we can't use it right now and we really can't pay for two right now. The only thing that was a pain was trying to dodge all the membership sales people after the 30 days. No, I am not signing a contract. So annoying. Also, thank goodness for photo filters because I've had the worst skin since we moved here. Again, so annoying.
They love the porch swing. My next post will be pics of the house. Finally!

You have an awesome porch swing! It's easy to see that Alexis is a born dancer...and Micah a born chef!! I wish I looked as good as you do, Allison, after a workout session!!
You are so smart to get the kids right into things they love and are interested in to make friends and enjoy their new surroundings. I love the porch too. Can't wait to see house pics. Hope you are feeling better. Hope your Anniversary was a sweet one. 12 years is a landmark. I love the memories of your Wedding day. Love Mom(Launa)
Thanks Susan and Launa!
