I have been debating whether or not I should even post this, but it has been bugging me and so I am going to. I spend a lot of time not saying what I am really thinking. A couple weeks ago I posted this picture of me for a photo challenge. It is one I took a couple of years ago and then applied an old photo effect to it. Then all of a sudden I see one of my friends post the picture on the bottom, and I think "that is me!" She is an artist and she tries to sketch something once a day. I have always supported her art and I think she is a great artist. I had to send this to a couple of my friends so I wouldn't think I was going crazy and seeing things and they agreed that it is totally from my picture. I don't mind that she used it, but she didn't say anything to me about it. She titled it "Lady". When I saw it I commented on it and said "Lovely!" She still didn't say anything to me. Then someone asked if it was Katherine Heigl and she said "No, I actually took the direction from Allison, but she looks nothing like her." Oh, really? She changed the lips and the eyes looks different but the hair and the position of the head look the same to me. If she said to me "Hey, I sketched something and used your picture for inspiration." Then it would have been cool but trying to cover it up and not saying anything to me about it isn't cool. She tried to make it seem like she thought up this drawing all on her own and that is not the case.

Me.

Not me, but it looks like me.
I really do think it is a nice picture, but can you see the similarities too? Do you think I am overreacting? Maybe I am. Knowing my luck she will see this blog. (I don't think she knows about this blog but who knows) and be upset and never talk to me again.
Also, I used her picture on here without giving her proper credit, but I figure she did the same with mine so we are even. :) Rant over.

bleh! I'd be mad too!
That absolutely looks like you!
The crazy thing is that, as lovely as the "Lady" (??!) is, you are far more beautiful.
I haven't checked out your blog in awhile but saw the picture and it grabbed my attention.
It does sound like a weird and rather hurtful situation--and you gave her so many chances to clear the air!
Thanks for your comments Ade and Heidi. I thought maybe I was overacting, but she definitely used my picture for her art and gave me no credit. I want some credit! haha
