We are so happy and excited that Micah got his yellow belt on Saturday. He had to get two tips on his white belt for him to be able to go to belt testing. I will admit that it has been a struggle for him to get into the karate swing of things. He really likes karate but doesn't really want to remember the moves. That is hard when you are tested on the moves. haha I think he expected to start classes and become an instant ninja. Who wouldn't?!
I have always loved martial arts (for those of you that remember my Bruce Lee obsession and my Tae Bo/Tae Kwon Do obsession) and I feel like it is such a positive thing for everyone. You learn confidence, self discipline, self defense, respect..I could go on. I really love this studio, the teacher are so great with the kids, they make it a lot of fun. It's such a great environment. I would love to take an adult class if I had the time in between all the kids activities! He was so happy to get his belt and it was so fun to watch the belt test!

Showing us his certificate.

hi-ya!

Yay! They did it. Micah right behind the bigger kid, you can only see him a little bit.

Now working for orange! "On a quest to be my best."
