Parent Honor Day

Alexis had a program at school for "Parent Honor Day".  They wanted to do something for the Mom's for Mothers Day and because school won't be in for Father's Day they wanted to include them too. :) It was a hawaiian theme.  They kids decorated the room and we had fruit, cookies, and juice (little umbrellas included) We we walked in Alexis said "Aloha!" and then gave us our leis.  They sang a bunch of really cute songs and gave us a book with how they feel about their Mom and Dad.  It was really cute and Alexis was so happy that we both could come!

Here is what Alexis wrote about both of us in our books, plus she drew cute pictures in the book too. 

About Daddy- "My Dad is so nice to me. He can throw the ball up so high-with his foot! My Dad's good at swimming though big waves and little waves. He's good at driving to the splash park-it had water.  And my Dad helps me do handstands.  But not here.  Sometimes I do them at home on a chair.  I can go on his back and I can ride on his shoulders.  But sometimes I get scared up there because he says to put my hands on my knees, but I put them on his neck. My Dad can pick me and Micah up with two hands.  And he can pick up my Mom too.  And he's not very good at doing my hair, but he tries his best.  I love my Dad because he squeezes me.  And I see my Dad every day and I wave at him in my room.  He likes peppers and tomatoes.  What he's best at is he can put a star on the tree and he can plug it in.  I love him so, so much and he loves me 'cause he's always nice" 

About Mommy- "My Mom is so special because she loves me so much! She makes lunch everyday when my Daddy is gone.  And my brother loves my Mom too and so do I too.  She's good at playing tennis and when Mommy hits the tennis racquet ball it goes to Daddy and he hits it back.  She works-she takes care of my little brother, changing his diapers.  She tucks me in my bed.  She loves purple so, so much because it is her favorite color-but she likes pink too.  Her granola bars are special just for her.  And almonds.  Almonds are nuts and they're just for her-and I tasted one once and I'm not sure they taste good.  She likes doing dancing with me.  I love her because she loves to give me hugs and kisses. "
