I was a chaperone for the 3rd grade field trip to the Desert Botanical Gardens. It was pretty hot when we were there and it did not make me excited for the hotter temperatures that will be coming soon. I was glad I could go (since so many parents sign up they pick out of a hat). They had a Chihuly glass art display at the entrance, which I thought was very cool. Also, a butterfly house which we weren't able to go this time and a gallery of cactus. Alexis and her class seemed to like learning about the desert plants and cactus. They all agreed the Zoo is a lot more fun!
