Our cute little doggy that we got in May has gone through quite a change. When we went to Utah he was an active, crazy puppy (we thought he was a puppy, that's what we were told, turns out he is about 2 years old). When me and Steven got back from Chicago and went to get him out of his crate, he was shaking really badly and couldn't put any weight down on his front right leg. We thought he injured himself somehow while were we gone. Alexis told us he escaped and when he was running away he fell. We have taken him to three different vets to figure out what is wrong. The first two thought it might just be an injury to his leg, so he was put on pain meds, anti-inflammatory meds and muscle relaxants. It never stopped the muscle from twitching, he slept all the time and just seemed lethargic. I finally found a holistic vet online. FYI- Holistic vets are expensive. So I drove to Gold Canyon (I didn't know where that was either) and she took one look at him and said "It's neurological, he is in no pain at all." So she gave us some anti-seizure medication to see if that would help stop his twitch and we would see her again for some rehabilitation treatments. Unfortunately, it didn't help, the vet said that it is a permanent defect. He still won't put much weight on his leg and it twitches constantly. Since we took him off his muscle relaxants he seems to have more energy. We will just work with him the best we can!
He has been pampered and babied a lot since we adopted him, he acts like a princess most the time! So he has earned the name Cocorella. We also call him Cocopelli, Puppy Do, Scrubby Pup, Baby Puppy, Coco Bean, Beany, and Alexis called him Wheezy for while. I don't know where that came from. We love our Coco!
Oh, and he is a big Mama's Boy. :) I don't mind that at all.

Coco could be Champs twin! (Champ is Carlee's dog and a very important part of their family.) Sorry about Coco's neurological issue. Champ has food allergies and irritable bowel. They are just like people!
