Field Trip to the Zoo/1st Grade Musical

I volunteered to be a chaperone on the first grade Zoo field trip. (what was I thinking?) It was a beautiful day and there were thousands of kids there. We had a fun time. But I ended up having a huge headache at the end of the day, I think that was inevitable. :)

Alexis and the girls I was in charge of, petting a goat.
I thought some of these turned out pretty cool.
Giraffes kissing! ewwww
I know a lot of people that this reminds me of.
Mrs. Hagemiester's class. They were very tired by the end of the day. I also forgot to blog about the 1st Grade Musical, it was last week. All the kids worked very hard on their songs and Alexis had a speaking part. We were very proud. :)

So fun! Have you guys had a lot of field trips this year? I'm assuming the school budget cuts are the reason their school hasn't sponosored any day trips.

I always wanted a "cool Mom" that was fun & came on fieldtrips with us. What a great gift you're giving your kids!
