Fun Friday ~ My friend, Senta

I want to introduce you to my amazing friend, Senta. I was lucky enough to spend some time with her while I was in Utah, it was fun to catch up because we haven't seen each other for a very long time! She is definitely one of the coolest and nicest people I know! She has always been so talented. I still remember some of the cool art that she did in high school, it just comes naturally to her. Trust me, I tried to be an artist (Art student at the U of U '97-'98, the most difficult year in college EVER!) it isn't as easy as you may think. She also has a really great taste in music! So in her honor I added Wilco (one of her favorite bands) to my playlist. Love it. You can look at some more of her art and listen to her cool playlist on her blog As I Was Saying. Here are some of my favorite pictures of her and also a couple of her illustrations that I think are great. You are awesome Senta! :)

Beautiful!

"As a symbolic gesture showing the world her determination to throw off society's restrictive conventions, Irma discarded the confining raiment she'd worn for far too long. She'd never felt so free."
"...my inspiration for this was Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. Self-actualization is represented by the lady, Esteem by the tiara, Love/Belonging by the heart she's holding, Safety by the bird with the key on her shoulder (kinda hard to see, oops) and physiological by the grapes she's holding."
