I would rather be dead in California than alive in Arizona

This is a very true statement.  We are back from Utah into the the heat of Arizona, and well, it sucks.  Not only is the heat bad, but their are many other reasons I do not like AZ, I don't feel like I fit in here and etc etc... so it is very depressing to be back, but that is a whole other post another time.  I didn't take many pictures the last week of Utah, but is was really fun catching up with people I haven't seen in a long time! I love friends that love me. :) I enjoyed seeing everybody and we want to thank Grandma and Papa for watching the kids when we were gone. Alexis and Micah had a great time! The next few weeks we have swimming classes, summer camp and dance camp before school starts again.
Despite my deep depression, there are a few movies that are coming out that I am way excited about! No, not New Moon, sorry to disappoint you, but Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince!! Yes! I am way geeked out about it, now this is a series in which I have read all the books and own all the previous movies. And the second movie is.....
Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland coming in 2010! Will it be weird? Yes. Will it be freaky? Yes. Will be amazing? Of course! It's Tim Burton! It's Johnny Depp! I am always on board for their work, plus, Alice in Wonderland such a classic story. I can't wait!

Hi!
I'm a regular reader of Karen's Random Life Story blog, and, I sometimes jump around to the blogs that she has linked to hers. She has pix of the latest thing on each blog, and, often, I can't resist peeking on what you have going on... The most striking photos are often posted on this blog!

Anyway, this post really jumped out at me. I wanted to say--you're not alone! I hate AZ, too! :D Although, I live in Idaho, so... But, I'm far from the only person I know who is Arizona-averse. I'm also a fan of Tim Burton's stuff--but I hadn't heard anything about the new Alice in Wonderland movie. Will likely be amazing, I'd think... Glad I know that it's out there to look forward to!

Hope you stay cool in the summer heat! Hangin' out at movie theaters should help. :D

You seem like a lovely person.

I had no idea that Tim Burton was doing Alice in Wonderland! That is going to be so amazing. I am so excited.

It was fun to see you. I'm sorry you are back in hot hot Arizona. Hopefully you'll get to move somewhere fabulous someday. Until then, just hang on. One year is not so long.

Ooh, I'm scared of Tim Burton. AIW is one of my favorite movies from my childhood, and lets face it, one of my favorite rides at Disneyland as well. I hope he doesn't freak it out too much.

I'm very surprised to hear you think you don't fit in in AZ. My advice? Send cookies to your neighbors. The ones that want to be friends will respond back, and having a friend close by makes a huge difference!

Hang in there, August is just around the corner and then it will just get hotter!

Sorry all is not peachy after the return Allison! Hugs!

I hadn't heard of Alice in Wonderland either. I'm sure it will be fascinating.

I'm also excited about Where the Wild Things are. I'm a big fan of Spike Jonze and it will probably have amazing music in it. I think it comes out in October.

(I have forgotten about The Shins Little Boxes since it's not on any of my albums. Thanks for putting on your playlist so I could hear it again.)

Oooh I am sooo excited for these movies too!!! Too bad you are too far away, we could go see Alice together...I'm so glad I got to see you on your visit, and condolences on being back in AZ lol. Do you have a mist-er? That's what my grammy calls them, you know those things that spray a mist of water to cool you off. I highly recommend it. :)

Thanks Heidi! That is very sweet of you, I don't know how to respond to you other than writing on my own post. :)

And thank you Keli, Michelle, Senta and Lindsey. I am glad I could see most of you in Utah! You all are so great!
