Chicago!

We were able to go to Chicago for a week!  Thanks to Grandma and Papa for coming down to take care of the kids, I was able to join Steven on his business trip.  Also, I wanted to thank Christie for picking up Alexis everyday this past week!  We had a fun time, it was very very cold and it snowed! But it was a nice change from the desert.  Chicago is such a great city and has a such a great vibe to it!
Walking back from dinner at Wildfire.
Hard Rock Cafe and the biggest McDonalds I have ever seen!
In our hotel all bundled  up ready to go out shopping...can you see the snow?
I saw this enormous wreath when I was shopping at the mall. It is HUGE! While I was at this mall I also got to test out the chocolate lounge.  I had a really yummy hot chocolate and a few samples. :)
Big Bowl is one of Billy Corgan's (lead singer of Smashing Pumpkins) favorite lunch spots.  I had to check out some of his hangouts just in case he was there. :)
Out our window you could see that even the buildings are ready for Christmas! Chicago is beautiful at this time of year.
Steven took this picture of the Christmas tree at the Christkindlmarket. We found some really great things from Germany. This was right buy the theatre were we saw The Christmas Carol.  It was a really fun night!

While we were gone, Alexis and Micah made a cute gingerbread house with Papa and Ma. :)

What a fun trip! I would love to go there someday...and now I think December would be a great time to go! The only time I've been to Chicago was the airport on the way home from our mission. I think I missed a couple highlights at least! LOL Glad you had such a good time and welcome back home!

I want to go to Chicago. Your trip looks like so much fun. That's great too that you went without your kids.

Love the photos! We always have to hit the Hard Rock Cafe's in every city too!

My little sister actually served her mission in Chicago. When I told that to my friend's husband (who is from there & is not a member) he said, "There are Mormons in Chicago?"
